Trees, Wheel of the Year

Savouring September

Hello Wild Soul,

As we step into September, I wanted to share with you some words I wrote about this time of year…

This piece was chosen to accompany the month of September in the Earth Pathways wall calendar for 2026. I wanted to share it with you here too because I really do find the transitionary points of the year as we move between seasons, a potent time to take stock and savour the magic.

A little Apple Magic…

As we move into this new month, I have been captivated, once again by the fruit trees that feel especially abundant this year. We found ourselves returning to the beautiful Avalon orchard a couple of weeks ago. If you have read my post walking with trees from a few years ago, you may remember that this beautiful little orchard, just beneath Glastonbury Tor holds real significance for me. I often find myself here during times of doubt and fear and this time was no different.

The last time I had visited, I lay beneath the sweet blossoms in Spring, watching crows fly between the branches, and bees buzz joyfully. Under those trees, I felt my energy slowly begin to rise and my spark return after a long, cold Winter. This time, I sat my frazzled body in the shade of the apple trees on a hot, late Summer afternoon. We spent a few hours, soaking in the peace, tasting apples and infusing in the magic of these abundant trees.

September and associated Trees

September is the month of golden light and fields, and as the month progresses, golden leaves too. There are many trees associated with this time of the year but it is the fruit trees that are stealing the show for me this year, how about you?

The Elder trees are ripe with berries just now and hold such medicine for us as we move into the Autumn. I have been gathering the glossy purple berries for a spiced syrup and stewing them alongside apples and blackberries.

The Hawthorns and Blackthorns are also loaded with glossy fruits this year too, but right now, it is the apple trees that are have been calling to me the most..

Wild Fen offerings

We are currently working on an Wild Jewellery collection, inspired by the abundance of Autumn. You will be the first to see them in a few weeks time. Until then we still have some beautiful Moon pendants in store now.

Before I go, I just I wanted to share a couple of articles I thought you may be interested in reading as we move ever closer to the Autumn Equinox…

Wishing you all some moments to savour this week,

Beltane Blessings & Spring Wild Pendants

Hello wild soul,

How are you as we approach Beltane this year?

I am writing this to you as I listen to two swallows chatter away busily outside the window. They returned yesterday from their Winter in west Africa and have reclaimed part of the stables here on the land. If we are lucky, they will raise 1 perhaps even 2 broods here before they head back to Africa in the Autumn. Their arrival is one of the cues that tells me that Beltane is close by. The other is the profusion of beautifully scented blossoms everywhere; Lilacs, Apple, Cherry, Hawthorn and Rowan. I am curious: What are your Spring cues?

Beltane is celebrated around the 30th April and 1stย May and marks the peak of Spring’s energy. This is the time of year where the land is fertile, growth is increasing rapidly and flowers are beginning to bloom.

In today’s post, I shall be sharing some of my favourite ways to celebrate Beltane, introducing some of the trees that are calling out to connect with us at this time and have some very special wild pendants to show you so let’s dive in….

Walking with Trees

Have you ever found yourself drawn to a certain tree? Something about the blossom, leaves, or bark that captures your attention if only for a few moments? Is there a particular tree or woodland you find yourself visiting when you want to unwind or sit and reflect? Do you notice yourself feeling a certain way after sitting beneath a tree – inspired, calmer, or supported in some way?

The calls may be so subtle that we barely notice them at first, they may even get lost on busy days but I urge you to pay attention to what arises the next time you find yourself in the company of a tree. It may just become the start of an enriching journey connecting back to our tree kin. In this post, I shall be sharing more about our own tree journey, hearing their whispers and finding inspiration beneath the apple blossom.

The Magic of the Apple Tree

Apple trees hold such rich symbolism in our culture and have inspired artwork, poetry, fairy tale and song throughout the ages. They are often associated with the season of Samhain when their branches hang heavy with beautiful, nourishing fruits. They are also celebrated widely in Spring too when they are filled with fragrant blossom.
