We have now arrived at the darkest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere. Energy and light levels are low and the earth is still in hibernation. Today, at the Winter Solstice, (also known as Yule) the sun stands still at its furthest point, before slowly returning once more with its light and warmth.
As the darkness peaks, it can be a good time to assess where we are at and what has supported us throughout these dark months. Are we feeling rested or frazzled? How can we introduce more nourishment into our lives?
After today, the light with slowly begin to return, with its warmth, a signal that a new growth cycle is ahead. This is a time for tending to our earth, ready to welcome back the light.
Solstice blessings!
