Hello Wild Soul,
As we pass through the misty veil of November, I have been finding myself mesmerised by colour and texture every time I venture outside. Even the grey days can’t obscure the beauty of this season, and seem to add to the atmosphere.

In my last post, I shared our favourite tree guides for slowing down. I have to say, they have been continuing to inspire us, our own rhythms shifting as the darkness creeps in a little earlier each day.

Is it just me or do the trees seem almost celebratory as they let go of the year’s leaves?
I feel them ready to embrace their winter slumber or perhaps they know on some level that what they let go of now, will one day nourish them again.

I love how the bronze leaves of the beech trees and the horse chestnuts are transforming walkways. It reminds me of this beautiful path we found in the Peak District a few years ago.

Autumn Collection
We have been so inspired by the colours and the magic and mystery of the woodlands as we step into the dark half of the year. We hoped to weave that into our Autumn collection this year.

We have focused on celebrating unique features in the wood and the alchemy that occurs through connection and growth.
We were excited to find this beautiful ‘eye’ in a piece of Ash recently. At the point at which another stick had grown from a branch this beautiful pattern had occurred.

We wanted to create a piece as ‘eye’ like as possible and retain some of the bark too. To me, this piece whispers of the wisdom of the woods and we hope you will love it!

We have loved featuring bark on a few other pieces in this collection too. It adds a beautiful texture and for me, whispers a little more of the tree’s story…

We were also drawn to work with some special spalted wood for this collection. Spalting is colouration and patterns that develop in the wood created by fungi.

Spalting is highly prized in wood work, and occasionally we discover these markings in the naturally fallen wood that we gather.

I love the story the markings tell of relationship, transformation and the things that shape us too…

Introducing Larch
And finally, we wanted to introduce you to a new wood that we have been working with lately.
Larch is a fascinating tree as the only conifer in Europe that is not evergreen. Every Autumn, its needles turn a vivid golden yellow, catching the eye for miles around.

For me, the wisdom of Larch can inspire us to embrace our individuality and honour our own path, particularly when it differs from those around us..

The wisdom of Larch seems to reflect in its pale wood too, almost glowing as it stands out.

And in this slice pendant, its growth rings stand out so beautifully too.

These pieces and more are in store now, and as a valued subscriber a 10% discount code will be added to your basket when you click the link below.

Lunar Calendars
And as we approach the new moon, it feels like the perfect time to announce that our Lunar Calendars are back for 2027 as both a print and an A6 card, perfect to tuck in your journal or keep on your altar.
