My baby is now nearing his 3rd birthday, and I have worn my necklace every day of his life. It is so precious, I will treasure my Moon Pendant, always.”
It was Cristi of Mother Folk Photography who first inspired the idea of creating a Wild Jewellery gallery when she shared her beautiful images with us.
Cristi says, “ I have been reflecting on the story of my Moon Pendant; its place within my heart and its significance within this chapter of my life.
I have always felt a strong connection to the forest, but the connection deepened when I learned I was carrying my 3rd baby.
Throughout my pregnancy, I spent most mornings walking through the forest with my middle child, collecting sticks, stones, watching birds, or sitting for a while together, where we would talk about the pine cones. Sometimes, we might take a rock or twig home with us. It became a beautiful morning ritual where we could celebrate our own rhythms – alongside the trees.
I always loved the idea of keeping part of the trees with me, especially as I felt so at home amongst them during this tender time. As soon as I saw WILD FEN and their beautiful pendants, I reached out to Nic & Chris to talk about my ideas. They were so accommodating and kind.

Iโve not been without it for nearly two years now, it is so sacred and special to me.”
“It was midway through my pregnancy with Molly and for some reason I kept being called to oak; finding leaves in the garden (with no oak trees around), finding myself sitting under oak by the lake after my swim. It was everywhere and then I saw your Oak crescent moon necklace and knew it was for me, I needed its strength to get me through a pretty anxious filled time.
I didnโt realise until going through these photos that the necklace is in so many gorgeous moments; from the last days of my pregnancy, to Mollyโs birth and all those beautiful feeds and snuggles.
A year down the line, you made me two beads to wear alongside the moon to represent both my girls; elder for Ava and hazel for Molly. I was so terrified Iโd lose the moon in the post if I sent it back for you to fit the beads on, you sent them to me and talked me through creating a new necklace, which was a pretty special moment, sat in the summer sun. Iโve not been without it for nearly two years now, itโs so sacred and special to me. Thank you for everything you do.”

Thereโs a wonderful connection to nature and a real grounded feeling I get when I wear it”
“I absolutely adore my Hawthorn moon necklace. I chose it for its symbolism of protection, healing, the month of May and also because of its beautiful moon shape. I love that itโs intricately crafted from a fallen branch, which was selected to live on as a symbol of the greatness it came from, holding powers and attributes of the tree. So lovingly crafted with care and attention. Thereโs a wonderful connection to nature and a real grounded feeling I get when I wear it.”

ADELE

“Here’s me wearing my beautiful Hawthorn necklace. This was gifted to me by my husband. I’ve been studying a foundation course in Herbal Medicine and my chosen plant of study is Hawthorn, so it was truly the perfect gift! My necklace reminds me of all I’ve learnt about wonderful Hawthorn and how much she’s helped support me. I’ll be sure to be wearing my necklace as I write up my monograph on Hawthorn to complete my course!“

I love how they add a little bit of me to whatever Iโm wearing that day, they very much are a part of my personality“
“I wear Wild Fen necklaces every single day, Iโm not kidding, to work, everywhere! I have quite the collection now.
As I have multiple different necklaces from different trees, I love picking the one that feels right or feels needed for me each morning before I start my day. Itโs become a little ritual in my life that when added to lots of other little rituals and habits, keeps me happy and sane. I also love how they add a little bit of me to whatever Iโm wearing that day, they very much are a part of my personality“

I smile when I wear it, and often find myself touching the wood which seems to help put me into a meditative state; mind taken off into the forest, where I would rather be.“
“Nic & Chris made my bespoke Wild necklace following the unexpected passing of my dad. When he died, Nic & Chris very thoughtfully, and unbeknownst to me, collected windfallen pine and began the drying process, after Iโd mentioned how drawn I felt to pine trees as a source of support at a time I felt broken. This was an important task, and I knew there was no-one else for the job. They crafted the wood into a crescent moon (the last thing in nature my dad ever saw) and added ash and willow beads for Celtic tree connections. When I wear it, I not only feel connected to my dad but also touched by the kindness of the lovely souls behind Wild Fen, whose reverence of nature brings warmth to my heart. I smile when I wear it, for all the reasons a person would smile, and often find myself touching the wood which seems to help put me into a meditative state; mind taken off into the forest, where I would rather be.
My soul yearns for more nature, which is my church, but this is challenging living in a town and working in a city. Wild Fenโs wild jewellery keeps me physically connected to the energy of the trees, and I wear it as any spiritual person would their symbol of worship. For me that is trees, and I am deeply grateful to Nic & Chris for helping keep us connected to their energies in such a creative and respectful way.
My deepest prayer is that one day, everyone will find their way back to nature.

CHERYL

“I’ve had this moon pendant for a couple of years now and I wear it every day. I feel like something is missing if I’m not wearing it. There’s obviously something in the connection to the wood and the crescent moon shape that is really comforting and needed energetically. I find myself reaching for the moon to hold, often without realising. It is very much more than just a beautiful necklace (but it is that too of course).”

HAILE

“I feel so lucky to own several necklaces handcrafted by Wild Fen, each one beautifully created to the energy of the trees they were carved from. Thereโs something about them like wearing a whisper of the wild itself. I love every single one of them”

TANYA

“I feel so connected with my crescent moon. I have had many necklaces but I feel I cant take this off. I have love for the woodlands since very young and the pendant seems to help me stay true to myself. The love I have for nature and the motivation to help our planet. My pendant is a reminder how important it is to connect with our surroundings. That is why It stays close to me, always”
